SunGuard Spa Non-Chlorine Shock for Hot Tubs is an auxiliary, non-chlorine oxidant (shock treatment) that oxidizes organic materials in spa water and allows bathing immediately after use. Treatment with SunGuard Spa Non-Chlorine Shock on a periodic basis improves the efficiency of sanitizing chemicals such as chlorine and bromine by oxidizing and eliminating contaminated waste and restoring sparkle and clarity to spa water.

I use it along with “SunPurity Mineral Sanitizer for Sundance Spas” and never have to worry about harsh chlorine smell or irritation. Don’t let anyone tell you that you “Have” to use chlorine. I put a little in every week regardless of use and the bottle lasts for a long time.
